The Moravian wine trail - Mikulov, Sonberk and a proper tasting

A sunlit town square in Moravian wine country

South Moravia is the Czech Republic’s wine country - rolling vineyards an hour south of Brno that most international visitors never hear about. This is Matt’s home turf and his favourite day to give people: a fairy-tale town under a chalk cliff, a tasting at one of the country’s most awarded wineries, and, in summer, lavender fields you’ll smell before you see.

The itinerary below is a starting point - yours to bend. Wine person? More cellars. History person? More Mikulov.
