Hi, I'm Matt
I'm Matt - a licensed tour guide and driver in Brno, and probably the most over-qualified moving help you'll ever hire.
This started as favours: driving friends-of-friends to Vienna Airport, showing visiting colleagues around the city, helping a student haul boxes into a dorm. The favours kept coming back with new people attached, and in 2016 I made it official - this is now my full-time work, and honestly, my full-time pleasure.
What I actually am, in one paragraph: an English-speaking local with a comfortable, spotless car, a tour-guide licence, a permit to drive into Brno's closed city centre, and the patience for Czech bureaucracy that only a native can have. I do transfers, tours, moves, home-search trips, pet runs and office visits - usually for foreigners, who tell me this kind of help has been missing here for years.
My background: before driving, I worked in IT, management and logistics - good training for a job built on planning, punctuality and looking after people. I hold driving licences B, C, C+E and T - so whatever needs moving, from a suitcase to a full flat, there's a licence for it. Class D is next, so bigger groups can ride too.
Who does the driving: usually me - I like it that way. But this isn't a one-man gamble: behind me is a small team of trusted colleagues I plan, brief and oversee personally. If life intervenes - illness, two jobs colliding - your booking still happens, at the standard my name is on. You always talk to me; I'm the guarantee.
What I promise: a fixed price agreed up front, insurance and a proper invoice behind every ride, and that we'll be exactly where I said, when I said. The rest - the stories, the tips, the cannoli recommendation - comes free.
